Started my career as an HR recruiter was a leap of faith, especially at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was thrown into a role with no prior experience, navigating an entirely new world of virtual interviews and remote onboarding. I had no grand vision or clear plan for my future; I was simply trying to keep up with my job in a chaotic and unpredictable time. Despite the challenges, that period taught me so much. It was a chaotic beginning, but it laid the foundation for the career I have today.
After starting as a recruiter, I transitioned within the HR department to more operational and rewarding roles. I moved from a generalist position to becoming a coordinator, then a specialist, and eventually a dual HR and payroll specialist. This journey allowed me to gain experience in various work environments, from large multinational corporations to a fast-paced digital marketing agency and even a scrappy startup. Each of these experiences shaped my skills and gave me a well-rounded perspective on the different facets of HR and people operations.
Moving to Oman marked a pivotal turning point in my career journey. It was here, in a new country and a new environment, that I decided to channel my diverse experiences into something of my own. This wasn't just another job or a side hustle, it was the result of the all the scribbled ideas on my notepad.
With its vibrant energy and incredible opportunities, it felt like the perfect place for a fresh start. It was here, that I truly began to explore the world of digital marketing.
